Question Blower Motor seized up

Hi Everyone.

I have a 1994 S420 and the blower motor has stopped working. We did a temporary fix by lubricating the motor with ATF, but it has stopped working again and will need to be replaced. I have found that this is not as daunting a task as it is in many other cars, but I need to make sure I get the correct motor. I am fearful of ordering anything after-market because it seems NOTHING on this car will accept an after-market part--at least, nothing I have replaced so far.

Can anyone provide me with the actual manufacturer part number for the blower motor? I have found several online (some with plastic fans) and just need to know which one to get. I don't have a bunch of money to spend, so if anyone can direct me to a place I can get one, I will be so grateful.

Welcome to the forum. If you are DIY, the usual old motor failure is wear out brushes. Those to same degree are serviceable, although MB is not selling them separately. Check your model section, maybe somebody already did it, or I know we do have a pictorial for the job in W210 section.

That is a common problem, the motor shaft is rusted to the squirrel cage, maybe auto Hauz will allow you to return it and get the entire assembly, or try and get one from Eddie who sells good used parts on this site
