The whole package, hardware+software, was bought from dhgate.com
. Off topic, make sure a Chinese seller understands exactly what you want and for how much. Product descriptions, prices, deadlines do not necessarily materialize. It was adventurous, but I managed to buy it and I get to use it for free, from time to time.
Precisely because it's a replica, I prefer to have a backup, in case the new program fails. I looked around in the menus, but couldn't find anything similar, only extraction of some parameters. Will look deeper.
Off topic again, it's mechanically reliable hardware (did not open it up), a great software but a very slow copy, runs off an external drive, in a virtual Windows XP. The instructions DAS gives are nicely put together, with symptom checking, step by step guides for what to check/fix, good photos etc. I did not try everything installed on the drive (60GB?, which is a little OS and a lot of DAS). It has an icon called DAS and that's what I used. It's interesting to hear a transmission adaptation, or to start the car from the laptop (of course I tried these).
