Are you serious, or just fooling around?
Would I have to spend $1000 on replacement tires that will be driven 500 miles a year, I sure would look for used ones. Than if the dealer replaced them -he is not in business of putting top dollars into the car that will be sold at discount.
Who said anything about the car selling at a "discount"? (Actually, it didn't sell at all, not too surprisingly) As for used tires, I'm not sure about putting those on a car of that caliber, seems a pretty cheap thing to do to use tires that have more miles on them than the car.

Bottom line, unless you go to see the car and can really confirm your insinuations -you insulted a seller having 100% honest feedback .
But you agree that the difference is discernible (the hood is aluminum, btw), and I already said I can see why there might be a difference between the hood and the bumper, it's the difference between the hood and the fenders that bothers me.
I would think that someone selling a car long-distance (especially a high-ticket car) would expect to be asked questions about it and not be "insulted" (where did I insult him personally?) by people making legitimate inquiries. As Marsden put it, seems like a case of "seller fatigue", you notice in his "100% honest feedback" that this seller hasn't sold anything since June. Make your own guess as to why. In fact, his ebay activity seems rather sporadic, but that's his business.
