Post S500 Airomatic Problem

Ok. I noticed that the passenger side of my car was low and the airomatic system would constantly run, attempting to pump it up, so I decided to take the front tire off and check it out, thinking maybe it was something that I could fix. Well after jacking it up, I heard air escape, so I figured that it was just residual air left in the pump just escaping. However, after taking off the tire I noticed that the rubber boot accordion looking thingy behind the tire was not connected to the lower part and that there was a tear in the top of the rubber boot accordion looking thingy. So I tried to put some crazy glue on the bottom and put some other type adhesive on the top, but I it didn't work. But when I finished I noticed that the car was extremely low and starting it up and pushing the button would raise the car. Have I messed it up worse? Is there a DIY for replacing the rubber boot accordion looking thingy on the front? HELP!!!!

Welcome Fred!

You should specify the year model of your car to receive accurate answers.

I'm guessing you'll find the right answer in the W220 S-Class - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum section.

Once it comes apart, there is no fixing it. You have to replace it. The old one will be used for a core, so save it.

Top five reasons I posted in your topic:

1. You're talking about god, there has never been any god of any kind. EVER!

2. I just have a general dislike of you.

3. I am trying to tell you how to fix your Mercedes and you are not listening.

4. I'm flirting with Jody.

5. You're just to dumb to own a Mercedes, and should go buy a Honda.
