Unacceptable advertising

I became a lifetime member so I would not have to put up with all the ad's that are flooding this site. Fo...rd... ads? Really? Well please clean up this site or I am gone. Every single company seems to think they have some God-given right to whore themselves to us every minute of our waking lives. I am done with it. I am not putting up with it. It's bad enough I have to see all the f****** Amor-destroy ads all over the rest of the site. I WILL NOT put up with Fo...rd ads. That crosses the line.

I'll check back in a few weeks I suppose

Goodbye!
Ricky Weston

PS I have posted this ALL over this website in an attempt to catch the attention of the mods as well as YOU--the members. This is a wonderful, wonderful forum and there is no reason we should have to put up with ford ads. I equate it to Toyota Pious ads. Would you like to see those all over this website? If not, then raise hell and PLEASE make it stop.

Firefox with the Ad-block plug-in takes care of all of that for me. I forget if I had to configure a custom filter, but I see only pure BW-sourced content.

Ad-block is a great plug-in. It makes sites load so much faster and more readable.

Click the spanner at top right, scroll down to tools then click extensions.
Click get more extensions and then type in add block and search.
A fair few choices come up but I use ABP looks like a road sign, red with white letters...Installs in seconds and speeds up the entire web and no ads anywhere..It's fantastic.

What ads? I don't see any ads here. But if you're getting 'too many' ads, it's a simple thing to eliminate with most browsers.

I'm a lifetime premium member too and I see a Geico ad at the top of this forum.

What if, say, a member chooses to post a Ford in their avatar, for example?

I don't understand why he refuses to see Ford ad's when he has an F350?

Adblock will block flash and other adverts, but not this PostRelease advert because it's presented as a forum topic.
