Dealers lie. It's just that simple. They're in the business to sell a car and they'll say anything to do it. You, as a buyer, should have made a pre-buy inspection to make sure it had the features they say it did. Something that's missing as obvious as a lumbar support, which you admit was important to your comfort, should have been noticed immediately. When I bought my 2nd M Class in Houston, TX, The FIRST thing I did was to check to see if the vehicle was in condition as described and had all features advertised. I even checked to make sure the CD changer functioned since I had gotten burned on my first purchase, a supposed Star Mark vehicle that was full of sludge and a non-functioning CD changer.
Dealers cannot be trusted. It's in their blood to cheat you and it's up to you to safeguard yourself from it. It's not to say that you don't have a case to pursue and it may be in your better interest to do so, a lesson to them of sorts. In the future, you may want to consider dealing with the FNG. New salesmen tend to be a bit more honest and will disclose more than a seasoned hardliner that knows all the tricks.
