As basic as this is going to sound, have you checked your battery terminals for tightness and cleanliness?

Well, if the terminals are loose and/or dirty, you're losing current, which would explain your random total electrical failure.

Assuming that they're also clean, my next suspect would be some sort of a ground fault, like a damaged ground wire. Has the car been in any accidents and/or has it gotten unusually wet?

Still, massive failure of unrelated electrical components would point me to a ground fault. Check all the studs where the ground wires are.

Also check condition of battery since a low charge on an old unit could cause similar issues as these.
