New member from Mesa Az. Bought a lime green 1976 240d 4 door sedan with an auto trans and AC that works with a clear title at an auction last week for $480.00. It even has the original owner's manual and the bill of lading from when it was shipped to America from Germany. This is a one owner car that is missing only the hood ornament and one window roll up handle. It had been sitting rust free in Tucson Arizona for about 10 years. The interior is near mint. Put a new battery in it. Primed the fuel system and it fired right up. There are a few fuel leaks on top of the injection pump and the glow plugs do not seem to be working. The trunk even though it is unlocked and the mechanism when the button is pushed sounds as though the latch is disengaging the trunk is still latched and will not open. It drives and shifts great. Definitely a keeper.

Anyone have any idea about how to get the trunk to open ? On the injection pump. Can the part where the fuel lines connect be removed so the o-rings under them can be replaced? Anyone know how to test the glow plug system?
