Climate control problem - Diag. KLA A ERROR 1000 - anyone have info on this?

I have a 2005 CL55 AMG. The climate control blows cold when in LO and hot any other temperature setting. As the AC works on LO, I know the compressor is working and the fan etc., but not at any other temperature. I opened up the dash took out the climate control unit and looked at it to see if something fried and cleaned off the very dirty temperature sensor. Put it all back together an made no difference.

I did the self-test by putting climate on Lo left side Hi right side and held down the filter and REST buttons for 5 seconds. It self tested and gave me Diag. KLA A ERROR 1000

Anyone have any info or experience with this. I don't really want to go to the stealership and pay a $150 diagnosis fee to find out its a $25 sensor I could change myself. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

also wondering about the same code on my 02 CL

my symptoms are warm a/c on passenger side and not very cold a/c on driver side no matter what temp...i've noticed the a/c seems slightly colder whne i'm under shade so myabe its just the sun sensor?

i can clear the code and it won't come back for a couple weeks at a time...i checked my freon and the gauge said it was in a dangerously high level so i don't know what to think

this only happened after i did an engine/tranny swap though...

-blacked out 02 CL500 to 02 CL55 ///AMG engine/tranny swap, coilover suspension, Lorinser fenders and trunk lip, 2 12" kicker CVR's, 20 inch Giovanna kilis in flat black

check out my band's free EP!
