Some of the descriptions are correct but a lot are inaccurate. Oh well.

In your case the number of unknown (to the Russian site) codes appears higher than typically. But what do you care about the descriptions when those can be found elsewhere once you know the exact option codes?

I'd still be interested about the issue with one against the other (carfax and the Russian site), I bet the code list from the Russian site is accurate.

In any case, you get a lot more for the money from this Russian site compared to carfax (although carfax for you would give a lot the Russian site is not able to offer even for money). For US owners the US EPC is there if more accurate info is needed.

Hi there, I'm a newbie to this site and would like to find specs on my '97 C280 if anyone can help please. My VIN number is ADB2020286f527699.

I have had conflicting part numbers from 2 MB South Africa dealerships regarding my front brake disc's. One says I have part number 2104210712 (288mm diameter/25mm width) and the other says part number 2024210912 (284mm diameter/22mm width).

I see from the forums that the part number starting with 210 is possibly the sports suspension (which I doubt I have) and 202 is the standard suspension (which i believe I have).

I would like to buy powerbrake slotted disc's and need the exact spec to order the right part. Flyboyike, if you read this, can you help a brother out please?

According to EPC, you have the part A2024210912 from factory at least.

Just come off the line with MB dealership. Apparently I have the larger of the 2 disc's (210 421 0712 or 203 421 1012). Vin numbers after F399 or thereabouts have this disc. Hopefully the following wont happen... I'll order the disc, have it shipped and it will be the incorrect size.

Still would like to know what the full specs are (accessories, sports pack or not, etc) if anyone has access to that.

If your discs are not the same as from the factory, nobody can tell what you have without seeing the car. Assuming you had a typo in the VIN, your car is recognised by the Russian site (do you need the missing pieces?):

I posted a request for a VIN decode my '98 500sl, a few weeks ago, but I think I entered the VIN incorrectly; used an "O" instead of a "0" I entered it in the Russian site, and this time got results. Problem is, I can't read it as the descriptions are in Russian, which makes sense, but I need a translation.

The VIN is: WDBFA67F0WF163014

Thanks for the help, Dave

You're a star Diesel Benz. Not even MB SA could give me that info. If you have the missing pieces it would be fantastic for future use.

By the way... I went to a brake specialist, had the disc removed, measured it myself and discovered that it is in fact the larger 288mm/25mm #2104210712 disc.

Many thanks,

Rob
