Sorry, not in database (many RHD cars aren't). Contact MB classic center.

Are you sure you had the VIN right? Does not seem to be known.

His VIN is right but the car is old ...W123.220 1980–1985 200 2.0 L M102 I4
... is not in the VIN decoder... VIN decoder works(i think) '85-2005

Mercedes-Benz Club Russia | Mercedes-Benz / VIN

Anyone can use this VIN decoding service

That does not seem right. Just picked one VIN from this thread: WDB12328022006632 and both the MB data base and the Russian site recognise it even if the build date is from 1982.

Yes, the Russian site is popular here, specifically now that they extended for more modern cars too.

I've tried to run my VIN on the Russian site and it comes back with an error message every time. This could be user error, but is that site still working? This is a 1985 VIN:
WDBAB53A1FA273157

I'd like to get that VIN info. Any suggestions & does it work for you?
Thank you, Kevin

Your VIN is really special, if I enter it on the main page of the Russian decoder, the site fails completely with an "unhandled exception". Try with one of those further above and you should see that the site does work for "normal" VINs.

But MB neither seems to recognise your VIN. Is it a 300 CD turbodiesel (123.153)?
