Cool After market fuel gauge

Ok auto electricians or cluey buggers, I've had it with my W210 fuel gauge. I replaced the cluster just over a year ago due to a fuel gauge problem and it's gone to God again, hence I want to replace it with an aftermarket gauge. My problem is the sender on my W210 E230 is different to most standard cars for afermarket gauges, the potentiometer is not used with ground like most???? There are two wires going to the sender and neither are earthed.... Has anyone ever wired this system to a normal gauge or knows how its done? I don't think it just a matter of earthing one wire because both wires are to the potentiometer..... Thanks anyone... Marty
