New Member - Grandad's 240D

Hello all. in 1974 my dad bought my grandad a brand new 240D. It was a big deal in our family. Grandad died in 1989 and dad parked the car in a dark garage where it remained till I pulled it out a month ago. My dad was killed in an accident 2 years ago, and I just wasn't sure what I was going to do with grandad's old Mercedes. I've decided to put it like new and drive it to remind me of dad and grandad.

It is cream colored with red interior and has only 73,000 original miles on it. I am looking forward to asking questions on here so I can keep it going for many years to come. First question: Can I replace the shocks with some sort of Bilstein shock that can take air so I can get the rear end up a bit?....seems real soggy and way to low. Looking forward to meeting new friends here. (oh...I also need to know where to buy new rubber to replace around the windows and some sunvisors). Later, Faberm, Navasota, Texas
