Newbie Needs Help - CPS tool for w210

Hello All,

I'm very new to the forum/blogging world, but do to my current car troubles, I figured I'd give it a try.

I have a 1999 E320 that keeps stalling and I'm trying to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS), but don't have the proper socket (E8 or E10 Torx) to remove the bolt. I'm trying to repair the car asap...does anyone know where I can pick up these tools in the Northern VA/Washington, DC area?? I've tried Auto Zone/Advance Auto, but no luck. Also, if someone is willing to allow me to rent or borrow theirs, I would gladly accept.

The repair shop wanted $275 to replace the CPS, but after buying the part and following the diy I read...i see that i can do it myself with the right equipment .

Thanks!!

KJ

You have answers in your duplicate post in the W210 forum...

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)

Thanks Gregs210 & Eric242340! And sorry for the duplicate...after posting I learned that I wasn't supposed to ask questions in this welcome section, so I reposted in the right place (i think/hope).
