ceramic brake pads

I have installed AKEBONO brake pads on 2 of my Benz's and I am happy with the reduced brake dust now.
Would have bought German pads but couldn't find any that would be like the Japanese ones.
Does anyone know whether any company in Germany makes anything like them?
Just curious.
It seems odd to me that Germany usually makes advanced items but here have let the Japanese run off with a good share of the brake pad market.

Yes, Pagid does.

PAGID Racing

Pagid being a division of Bremsen Technik GmbH, which both sounds and is plenty German.

Last week, for the first time, I had new rotors with ceramic pads installed
in the rear. been giving them a pretty good workout, but have not noticed
any dust yet. I left the dust shields in place. Maybe I should have removed
them to get an accurate assessment. They never did seem to do the job very
well with the old type pads anyway.

Entered the site, followed to recommended California supplier, opened their site, put Mercedes in the car in search and this is what I got.

Then perhaps you might consider using a different distributor. That being said, PAGID's selection for MB isn't terribly large, as they seem to concentrate on AMG and other higher-powered models.

I've been real happy with PBR Deluxe pads, they're inexpensive and stop GREAT They do dust the wheels, but I'm more concerned with braking power than cleanliness.
