Hi all, I am new to the forum, already a great help. My son was given a 1990 300E, 104 that has been sitting for almost two years. He was told the original problem was overheating and the po suspected a bad water pump. I followed the instructions and replaced it in 4 hours. I left the thermostat off. She starts and sounds great but still overheats within 10 minutes. No oil in water or visa versa. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! P.S. new oil, filter etc.

go to autozone and get a block tester

Don't let it over heat while your diagnosing the problem or you will end up with some major problems if you don't have any yet.
