Hi I have a 320clk 2000, I was wondering if the standard 16" wheels can be replaced with the below ones without modificatio to the car, rookie question I know, but I am a rookie.

size: 17x7.5 front and 17x8.5 rear

tyres 225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rears

Welcome. Please click user cp and edit details so you can add your vehicle and location to your profile, it's useful information when you're seeking assistance.

The answer is a qualified yes. Those are standard sizes for a staggered setup on the 208 chassis.

The qualification is that they must be the proper offset for your chassis, and that is a critical measurement. It's cast into the back of the wheels and it will be different front and rear, it's a two-digit number that follows the letters "ET".

An additional point of concern is the type of seat; if they are an R14 seat you will need custom lugs for them to fit safely.

You'll find much more pointed information in the W208 section of this site as it's specific to your car. This general forum is a catch-all for this of general interest regarding all MB.

Good luck.
