Talking Mercedes 190D (Diesel) How do I make it faster????

I have a gorgeous red 1986 Benz 190D Diesel 2.5 inline engine.

I am use to faster cars, (Mercedes S500, Mercedes 260E) and other cars which are much faster, this is my first time buying a Diesel Mercedes, and I am in love with the car, but I want it to go faster.

I want to make some upgrades (Money isnt an issue here) but I don't want to in any way make the car unreliable. Can I upgrade it somehow to go faster, but not harm the lifespan of the reliability this Benz has???

I was wondering, if any of you know how to do this, or any other suggestions?

Also the throttle response is really slow. As in, I start it up, and when I push the gas down, it doesn't automatically rev up and down with my foot like in a regular gas car, is this normal for a Diesel? or should they rev up and down kinda slow?

ALSO ----- should i make it go on veggie oil? or just stay away from all that stuff and just run on regular diesel.
