Can someone please help me with this nightmare, please! S320.

Hey guys, I recently bought an S320 2007.. Its been giving me issues ever since, the first was noticing creaking in the suspension.. Secondly, One day it just lost complete power, that was the stepper motor needed replacing. SO, the guy i bought it from covered it in the warranty, and had it replaced, today i pick it up from the auto shop that fixed and i get about 2 miles down the road before the whole car broke down. Lots of smoking coming from the hood, turned out a diesel pump blew off because he had put the wrong shaped, clip on it or something, it was supposed to be L shaped but he used t shape. The fixed cleaned off the engine and let me drive home, the smoke was there all the way home so embarrassing.

Anyways i also noticed now when i accelerate it activates the defroster???? WEIRD! Like it makes noise as if it were turned on.. Then a couple of times slowing down at red lights the car sort of stuttered. And last but not least, it does not seem to be half as powerful as it was before the problem began in the first place.

If anyone can offer any advice here, as to how serious these problems are or if anyone has any clue what they are, or why they are happening id love to know.

Yours thankfully,

1) If the vehicle was purchased from a legitimate dealer ... they should have had the car looked over by a MB dealer, or MB specialist (especially an S Class).

2) Regardless, you should have had a pre.purchase inspection made on the vehicle.

3) At this point, I would mandate a COMP (Comprehensive) CHECK by a local MB dealer, or, if none are within appropriate distance ... then ... substitute an independent.

There are so many variables ... it just does not make sense to cherry pick one repair. More than likely, there are several repairs required on the vehicle. The very fact that a mechanic used a wrong part, says he likely did not know what he was doing in the first place.

To add, the mechanic using the wrong part is not acceptable because literally every MB part has it's own number which is available to any competent repair facility (or private individual) who has access to the EPC. Agreed you should get some pro advice, maybe pull some codes, etc., to find the true cause. It will likely be cheaper to pay for the diagnostic and address the most crucial repairs first. You will doubtless save more money doing it this way than trying to figure it out by throwing parts at the car. Good luck, you are in a great forum for help and we are here to assist. Ypu may also wish to post this in the model specific subforum for the best advice from other owners of your same vehicle.
