"old" newbie!

My wife has an SL500 & all sorts of warnings came up about the battery & brakes etc so I found this site in searching for what to expect. The starter battery has been replaced but still the do not drive warnings so AAA tow to dealer where it awaits a report.
Thought I would join Benzworld since I await a new E350 Sport having traded my Lexus LS460. Well you can't get them now really or if you can they glow in the dark.(Is that bad taste? Sorry) Won't criticize the car at all but I have driven Merc's since 1977 so back home really.
We retired & came to USA 3 years ago from Scotland so still 'teaching' you colonials English as it is spoke, but we love it!!http://www.benzworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif
