Exclamation Help - hydraulic suspension pump trouble

I've been consulting posts on this forum for some time and must say that members here are the most helpful supporters you can find anywhere. So I decide to join. I have a 1990 Mercedes 560SEL which I love to death but can no longer afford what my mechanic charges (he is super and reasonable on the medium expensive side). I can fix minor cosmetic stuff and do oil changes etc. but not when it comes to my hydraulic suspension pump which is leaking. I have the seal kit from autohausaz but don’t trust myself to fix it and my mechanic wants a fortune to do it. Anyone knows a mechanic that can fix my pump so something reasonable. I'm in Orange County California.

The dreaded self leveling suspension of the 560SEL.. uhg. You ought to try a search and see what others have done. The link above from eric should also help you find a good shop (hopefully)

Otherwise if you can't find any answers feel free to ask over in the W126 section of the forums. (126 is of course the chassis number of the 560)

Lightbulb Help - Hydraulic suspension pump trouble

Thanx 4 the tips. Checked out the lead and actually found lots of possibilities close to me. I'll try Maurice's in Costa Mesa and see how that works out. Talked to a lady who gave me a quote higher than my mechanic in Los Angeles. But maybe I should talk to Maurice himself as recommended before going in.
