Question 1967 230 W111 - Burgundy

Hi All! New to the site, thanks for having me.

This car is my first venture into the world of Mercedes Benz vintage, and I am thrilled that it is. I love this car a lot, its fun to drive and it only has 65K Kilometers on it. It was stored since 1986 and we had a hell of a time with the gas, but when we got it all cleaned up and replaced gas lines, brakes and such it's awesome to drive. We are having a bit of trouble with the carbs, there are 2 - 2 barrel Zenith carbs and we cant seem to get the timing right, as well as the carb adjustments. We did however get a carb kit from Germany and that was a big improvement.

Question one; What is the timing?
2, how can we get specs to re-set the carbs to original settings?

Any insight would be very welcome at this point...
