<Speakers> Quick intro and Question regarding Sound - CLC 180
New to mercedes, and this forum -
Just before i get a load of messages rinsing me for getting a CLC 180; i'm aware its probably not the most loved mercedes and definitely lower down the chain compared to most of you - but i'm chuffed with it, and is a perfect entry level merc for me. Gets me to work and back and is an improvement on my Vauxhall Astra. Will have to continue saving until I can get a more desirable mercedes model!
Happy with everything about the car, but curious about it's stereo system / sound quality. I'm unsure of the technical detail, but its the standard CD/MP3 player, with the colour screen. Mine is a 2008 58 plate CLC 180 model. I believe there are others from this year with the slightly 'older' stereo system. Mine is supposedly the newer/latest one.
My query relates to the sound quality, i would like this to be improved. And wondered what my options are. For example, for a few days, I had a brand new C250 on loan, same system, but unbelievable sound / speakers. Sounded great. I acknowledge the CLC is a much smaller car, but no matter what i do to the bass/treble settings, there just doesn't seem to be any juice. I enjoy music, and want an all round good sound. This im not really getting at present.
Im away with work at the moment but intend on asking at the local mercedes garage when i return, from where i purchased the car. Want to know what i'm talking about when i get there though - so any ideas? I just want a more punchier sound, i don't necessarily need subs/amps, i'd assume i could get away with more advanced/better sounding speakers??
The overall sound in the car, is tinny. and not much bass, even if its on Full.
open to ideas -
thanks for your time.
