Post 2000 E320 Wagon - Insurance battle help needed

I have a 2000 E320 Wagon. A Huge tree fell on it across the driver's side front head light and side panel. The tree sat on the car overnight for almost 8 hours pinning the vehicle to the ground before we emerged from our homes and wind storm to find the tree down. I have had the body work done to repair the car. The car now has the following mechanical/suspension problems according to the MB Dealership:

"The rear suspension noise is the rear "spheres" for the rear hydraulic shocks. They are bad and are causing the rear shocks to bottom out when driving over bumps, and cause the rear end to 'bounce" & "float" while driving down road. Then the front end has cracked lower control arm bushings and front lower ball joints have excessive play in joints. The alignment is out or "off" of the factory specs.
So the rear spheres need to be replaced with the front ball joints & control arm bushings & then perform alignment once those parts are replaced."

The car drove beuatifully before the tree. Now it floats, pulls and drives like crap. I had the vehicle in the shop 4 months prior to the collision with the tree and none of these problems the dealership has found existed. In fact the alignment and suspension were great. I have 2 different mechanic shops that have given me a written statement that these problems the car now has did not exist 4 months prior to the tree hitting the car and no wear or tear was present according to the 2 different mechanics.

State Farm is saying that these problems are "normal wear and tear" for the year(2000) and miles(140,000) for my vehicle, so they will not pay for the repairs. It is their opinion and the dealerships' opinion that it is "hihgly unlikely" that the tree falling on the car caused these issues.

Question: Could a 5000-6000 pound tree falling on the front end of my car and pinning it to the ground for almost 8 hours cause the problems listed above? Also, the car moved backwards about 3-5 feet from where it was parked when the tree hit it and then came to rest on the car.

NOTE: If i end up in small claims court with State Farm, i may use your opinions and posts as evidence in my case, so please state your credentials if you have any when helping me out on this issue. All opinions welcome though.

Sorry to read about your problems. Since you are somewhat new here, why don't you also post this in our W210 forum? Hint: You can find us under the sedans heading.

<edit> I just re-read your post and missed something. If the dealer is "siding" with the insurance company you are fighting a losing battle. They will, without a doubt, be considered the expert in any small claims court.
