1990 300 E overheating?

My 300E started running hot all of a sudden when i put the heat on one morning. I called a mechanic he repleced the water pump still running hot he replaced the thermestat still running hot he replaced the radiator, still running hot. no leaks anywhere just temp gauge goes staright up when drive on street. please help!!!

Have you flushed the coolant?

Also, look in the w124 forum for any ides on what it could be.

Time to change the mechanic.
The $10 infra red thermometer would troubleshoot the problem in seconds.
On rare occasion the engine malfunction and produce so much heat, that the cooling system was never design for, but that would show in fuel consumption.

Just changing parts instead of a correct diagnosis is the sign of a bad/lazy/greedy mechanic.
