If your car came with an owner's manual, it will do a good job of pointing all that out. If not, pop in to mbusa.com and your can either order or download a manual--great place to start.

The smaller lights low in the bumper will be your fogs. When you have low beam headlights on, you can pull the light switch out to turn on the fogs. Try it, then get out to look. If you flip your high beams on--fogs should turn off.

If i read your question right--the little panel between the lights (if below) might be headlight washers.

Unless the original light fixtures have been changed, your headlights are likely halogen (not xenon). If so, probably an H7 bulb--but know what you have before you try to change it.

Good luck,
earl

EARL---i do have a owners manual and have read it twice, however, it does not address that panel or have a schematic of the car with proper IDs of everything. IF the big lights are the headlights what are the smaller lights?? they must be some kind of parking or driving lamps??----------i dont know how those panels could be a wiper or washer!!---------thanks doug

The fogs look to be low in your bumper. Smaller round headlights are most likely High beam or Daytime Running Lights.

That little panel between the headlights is the headlight washer. On my car it is operated (or will be when i set aside the time to repair it) by the pneumatic pressure of the washer fluid. The switch is most likely a push-button near the light switch, perhaps in the upper right corner of the light switch panel. Good luck.

In addition to what the above poster said, be sure to check out your cars specific forum.
If you do a search there, you can probably find all the information you need.

Ditto to 1984babybenz. You have what is commonly referred to as the orphan W210. 1997 was the only year MB made it. There are several helpful fellow owners on the W210 forum. Plus we have an extensive number of stickys that will help you quite a bit.
