Hi one and all,
After suffering the usual and progressive asr problems on my '93 500sl for some time, and replacing the module, cleaning sensors, chasing connectors, overhauling brakes, visiting main agents, trying to make some sense of fault codes etc.,etc....I came across this comprehensive link in the forum: http://pages.prodigy.net/jforgione/MB_asr.html
, which described my problems exactly. I took heed and contacted the very helpful Beckmann Technologies, to arrange for a re-conditioned throttle actuator to be sent. I live in Australia and the replacement came within a week, and once fitted, the asr problem was cured. Typical of the early '90s cars, the quality of the wiring used was totally inadequate.......how have Mercedes managed to get away with it??
Anyway, I am at last happy, and cannot recommend Beckmanns highly enough for their excellent service and quality of product. Their website is: Welcome to Beckmann Technologies!
I hope that this may be of use to the suffering.
