I am not allowed to notice other women, but being remodeling contractor, I mostly wear dirty clothes. That is OK on the jobs, but gives you different kind of looks when you go to a bank to cash big checks. The looks change when they notice your dirty cloths sitting in Mercedes.
I'm a fairly casual guy and USUALLY drive a pick-up truck. I work out of my home mostly, but manage projects all over the world. So I travel internationally fairly often, and do have to slap on a suit and tie here and there. Having been in the military I hate shaving close unless I'm forced to and if not for business meetings, I have a nice 3 day beard and love wearing worn out blue jeans. Also, living near the beach you'll mostly find me in sandals, and a fishing t-shirt.
With this said, I get entirely different looks when I'm in my Tundra verses the S! It's really very funny. Really, though, we got the S because we liked it. And not for any "look at me" factor. Actually, for us, that component of owning a Mercedes is not what we wanted.
If I wanted to buy a car to be noticed (as opposed to what I liked) I'd follow the course of so many other Corvette and Porsche people. THIS IS NOT A SLAM ON Porsche or Corvette People, if you really do need it, and your insurance doesn't cover Viagra, then Corvettes and Porsche's may be just the car for you. But I like my Mercedes. LOL, sorry, just couldn't resist the joke there :-)
