E320 driver seat removal

Hi all

I have a problem with the driver seat on my E320 and need some help.

I understand that the normal removal process entails moving the seat forward and then backwards to to access the bolts.

My problem is that something is jamming the track and the seat will only move about one each either way.

Is there another method of removing the seat say taking the seat off the frame?

Any advice very welcome.

Kind regards

The "move" the seat thing is just to provide access to the bolt heads--you'll just have to try harder is all.

BTW, an "E320" could be a W124 (1992-1995), a W210 (1996-2002) or a W211 (2003-2009) so it would help if you better identify your car.

Welcome aboard.

Please click user cp and edit details to add your vehicle and location to your profile, it's useful information.

As Kent notes, there are variations on a theme here, so *which* E320 is important. If you have a W210, and go to the forum specific to the W210 (scroll down, it's in the sedans section) then you will find DIY HELP stickies at the top, and included in them is information on seat removal, etc. as well as lots and lots of other information.

If you don't have a 210 that may still be useful, but I'd look in your car's forum first.

Good luck.
