Which one?

Sorry for starting another thread about code readers,I'm not getting any response from the ones I'm in and they are getting muddled..............I've narrowed it down to these two. LAUNCH CREADER V CODE READER FAULT SCAN DIAGNOSTIC TOOL on eBay (end time 30-Mar-11 19:10:58 BST)...... AUTEL MAXISCAN MS509 OBD2 EOBD Code Scanner Reader Tool on eBay (end time 16-Mar-11 19:01:41 GMT)

I have never heard of these brands before, but they are both pretty cheap.
The Autel one looks like it is the better scanner IMHO.

I've "googled" them both and the reviews are pretty good for both, I was all set for the Autel then came across the other.....I'll recheck to see if I've missed anything...Cheers for the input.

From forum replies I sense that UK members shy from buying scanners.
While the scanner will pay itself on the first visit in US, we have options of having the cars scanned for free at some services.
My guess that for UK scanners recommendation you might get better advise on forum more frequent by UK members.

I got the Launch Creader V, it reads all the standard codes and also vehicle specific codes for all manufactures. Also has various graphs etc, and using it is really straight forward, the instruction manual makes it sound complicated but when it's plugged in it couldn't be simpler, just follow directions on the screen...It can also be updated for free, just download the driver and plug it in.

Don't always follow the reviews. Sometime you should follow to some real user of the products.
