Leaking Trans Fluid

Hi,

I am new here, I was wondering if anyone had a DIY video or something to help me with my car, I have a 2003 C230K and it appears to be leaking transmission fluid at the 13 pin trans connector not sure if it is an O-ring or not and i do not know what size O-rings i would even need, I appreciate any help/advice.

Check out your cars designated forum. There is probably a diy there.

Please click user cp and edit details to add your vehicle and location to your profile, it's useful information.

If it's leaking, new o-rings are not the solution (nor are they separately available). The part (connector/spacer/adapter/pilot bushing) has been superseded, it's cheap (under $15 even at a greedy dealer) and easily replaced. Check the DIYs and FAQ thread in the W210 section, it's the same setup for your car and excellent info with pics.

Good luck.

Thanks Gregs and babybenz!

I am confused to the suggestions as to the proper forum. W203 seems to be for my car however I am still searching for a topic that covers my current situation. And W210 Seems to be an E-Class forum, are you saying that the E-class AT is the same as my C-Class?

That is exactly what I am saying. You'll also find it in the S class, roadsters and ML and GL. Clear across the lineup.

And the W203 is the specific forum for your car, but transmission stuff in the 210 section is better IMHO, so for right now plumb the depths of the detailed knowledge you need.

This is the FAQ thread I referenced, it links to a bunch of others:

You'll also find that same tranny adapter in the Sprinter and Plymouth/Chrysler Crossfire lines--both use the 722.6 transmission. After waiting 3 days for my adapter to arrive, i found i could have bought the exact same thing at the Chrysler dealer here in town for like $9.00.

It wasn't the time or money that bothered me--it was missing the chance to buy something for my car right here. Shoot, i can't even find air for the tires locally!!

I picked up the adapter yesterday at the MB parts dealer near my work for $12. not too worried about the price difference, I am fortunate enough that there is a MB parts dealer nearby!
