Sneaky Mercedes car dealer

I just purchased a new C Class from a local dealership. I called before I went to the dealership to make sure they we're open. The gentlemen picked up the phone and said yes we are and said to ask for him when I get there. I was with my cousin who is 22 and I am 27. When we got there I asked for the person from the phone he walked over, saw my cousin and myself and passed me to another dealer. He thought we were some kids looking for a joy ride. That dealer I was passed off too helped me out so much I bought a new C Class from him. I just found out today that jerk car dealer that passed me off somehow convinced or lied about his involvement in the deal I made with the car dealer he passed me off too, and received half of the commission. I think it absolutely ridiculous and I am going to the dealer tomorrow and flipping out at the sales manager. I want to know what you guys think and any suggestions to get this scumbag to loose his commission he not only didn't earn but stole by being sneaky.

Many agents, whether vehicle or real estate, have an understanding that if they pass a solid contact to another agent, there will be a shared commission. Or your first man may have been the owner's son.

Since it sounds as though you have a rapport with your salesman, I'd place an informal call to him and gently inquire whether there is such an agreement in place. If not, talk to the sales manager, but be gentle, you might get your guy in trouble.

Congrats on the new wheels, too.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)

I had a similar experience. I went to a dealer that I had a relationship with trying to get a price on a 2010 C63. This was last March. I had to call back 3 times before I got a response. I sent several emails too. All with no response. i guess they get a lot of calls from younger guys asking about that car. Long story short, I went to another dealer and bought the C63. Sent a photo of me and the car to the first dealer with a message saying how happy I was with my new car. I have since sent another person who bought a MB and there is a possible 2 more sales from me to this dealer. Lesson...Never judge a book by it's cover.

I think most of us that look unconventional have had this problem before. Reminds me of the scene in Pretty Woman when nobody will help Julia Roberts.
I don't dress or look the part, and have been snubbed when purchasing a car too. And like VancouverLFM, somehow it felt rewarding with a little revenge to take said car by the person that snubbed you as to say "remember me?.... big mistake...big big mistake!"
