Post Airflow control knob over turned

Please help guys! I have a very odd problem here.

Long story short, I was driving A160, 1999 model; some parcels in passenger seat hit the airflow control knob (it was in vertical position, ie, airflow 0), now the knob is over turned, slightly to the right of position 0 (at about 5 o'clock position) and air is constantly flowing. I couldn't turn the knob back or to any other position. Can someone please advise how to fix this? I can bring a muscle guy to try turning it if so desire...

Do I need to change the whole air control unit? Please advise...
