got a bit of a problem over here

HI, I have a 98 ML320 and oil is EVERYWHERE!! i dont know what happen. oil just started leaking one day so i figured maybe it needed an oil change? the technician told me its just the filter needed to be changed so he did that for me. the past 2 months its been worse than ever and ive been desperatly strapped for cash. I end up putting oil in the car almost everyday because its constantly leaking out....i dont know what to do. I love this car and i dont want to junk it....what do you experts think?

i'll be very hard for us to diagnose the problem. the leak could be coming from the oil pan, oil filter, valve cover etc. those are simple ones, but, you said you are adding oil daily? i'll suggest take it to the dealership to find out exactly what the problem is. it might cost you a $100 or so, but at least it'll be an answer you are looking for.
good luck

There is a little diamond-shaped pressure port adapter that is known to be problematic, it's located on the timing cover above the tensioner, a bit to the left. There is a updated replacement part and gasket that even at a greedy dealer will cost you less than $20. Check that out, it's pretty common. DIYs all over the place if you really need it.
