Problem in replacing car battery in 2003 S430

I was trying to take out the battery from the trunk in my 2003 S430 but just couldn't make the battery move even an inch... it seems that the battery was glued down or bolted down somehow... I tried to look at previous posts but just could not find anywhere that it said the battery is bolted down... the battery curently in my car has 2 handles that lifted up from the center of the battery... other than that, I just could not spot any thing that can tie down the battery... Appreciate any advise here.

Try the W220 forum found in the sedans section. There might be something unique to that series. Good luck and welcome.
