Hi from Australia

Hi from Australia!!
I have recently become a proud owner of a 2001 E200K W210.
Looking forward to being part of this forum and sharing my experiences.

Currently the car has been kept in a very good stock condition.

Things I am going/want to do:
-Add 17 inch AMG alloys, currently 15 inch steel wheels.
Do I need to do a wheel alignment as the current alignment is perfect, in the 8 cars that my family has owned(all get wheel alignments done every 2 years), not one has had its tyres worn this evenly and I don’t want to get it aligned when I put the 17s on.
- Change to LED H1 globes for the fog lights, will this trigger the blown globe warning due to the lower current draw?
- Change headlight globes to 4300k H7, does anyone know where I can get front park light globes that are ~4300-5000k?
-Thinking about getting the windows tinted in the slightly reflective tint, the one that is like a mirror, but not as reflective. But I do not know how it will look as I don’t like the black tint I have seen on these cars. Anyone have this tint or knows of a picture with this tint on a talentine w210?
- Glove box lid re-trimmed(in leather?) or find a good condition second hand lid.
- Replace shifter knob, does anyone know where I can get one that is a straight fit? OEM or aftermarket.

Already I have a heap of questions:
I would also like to know what fuel can be used in my car, in the manual it recommends 95 RON premium fuel. Can I run 91 RON? Aside from getting lower mileage, will it have any other negative effects? Will 98 RON improve mileage? I know most old cars will not see any benefit from a higher octane fuel, as they do not have the appropriate sensors, does this car?
Also, does any one know what protocol this car uses as I want to get a diagnostics tool for it? It has a 38pin under the hood and a 16 pin OBD plug under he steering wheel? I have recently purchased a cheap S&E class OBD scanner and 38pin converter from ebay and it does not read from either the 38pin and OBD ports. I have been Googling for hours and I am getting different things, are the protocols different depending on where the car was delivered?

What is the mileage others are getting for this car? My on board computer is telling me 8.8L/100km, but I have filled up 5 times with 50+ litres and I am getting ~8L/100km when I calculate how many litres/fuel. I am using 98RON fuel.

Thanks in advance guys!
