Well, I ended with black car even I fully realize the most practical is white one. The trick to keep it looking good is to live in California and have good water.
Years ago I had water softener and I could wash the car without drying for perfect shine. When the softener broke down, I figured out our city water is good enough to go without a new softener. I have truck washing brush on extended pole, so I can wash the car in 4 minutes and than drive it to dry. Minimal water spots can be wiped clean at the first stop.
