Noob says Hello from Florida
I will take possession of a 2007 R320 cdi in a couple of days. Appears to be a FL car, with 65,000 miles. First MB I've owned. Looks like it has P01 (Pano and other stuff), white with tan/saffron MBtex. Great shape, and in a 30 minute test drive I found I like the power, comfort, appearance, quiet, handling, size and more.
Only thing I DIDN'T do is read all of the posts here first. Now I have a bit of buyer's remorse, wondering if it will stay together. Carfax showed all of the things worked on that I've seen here; crank sensor, tailgate latch, etc. I'm not buying from a dealer but through a local solid independent Euro-car sales/service.
No warranty, and it sounds like I'd better get one!
My daily driver is my beloved 1987 Volvo 740 GLE that I bought new. It's stock, but I still have fun popping the clutch at lights and smokin' the rice rockets off the line...of course, off the line is as far as I can smoke 'em.
Wife and I have ridden Harleys for lots of years, but they're not as comfortable as the R seems to be. Really?
I've already gleaned lots of info and look forward to much more. Glad to be here!
