Welcome to BW. Head over to the SL/R107 forum and ask there. The brotherhood of SL owners is pretty well versed in the quirks and foibles of the 107 class and can probably supply an answer. I've owned my 560SL for three years now, and I have no idea how to get the cover off the steering wheel.
