Clay bar??

I have seen a few posts at this site about using clay bars to restore the finish on vehicles. I have never had any experience with using these and any information on clay bars would be appreciated.

I'm guessing they might remove or fill in remove surface scratches on the paint or brighten up the sheen of the paint. Also what method would I use to get the best results from it.

Clay bar will not remove or fill-in scratches. It will remove surface dirt that isn't removed by washing or waxing. You need to use a lube like soapy water when using the bar. Any auto supply store will have a clay bar kit that includes the lube and instructions.

It will not fill in or remove acratches, but will remove contaminants from the paint.

As stated above, the detailing section has info on this.
