Question Newbie here but 'ol time benzer

Greetings Forum Members:

I have a Year 2000 MB S500 Designo edition, bought new. It presently has 62,122 on its odo. I have garaged, serviced and maintained the car to date with an MB dealership in NY. Just got it in for the Service A and was told they found the valve cover leaking oil, and the transmission fluid leaking from PAN Gasket and 13 PIN Connector. Also, was told the V or Drive Belt was wearing slightly and needs to be changed with its tensioner.

I don’t see any oil leak drops on my garage floor so was wandering if this is moisture accumulation from a lack of frequent use of the car? I know a car with just a few miles on its odo might develop lots of problems but I can’t quite figure why this car with 60K miles need these expensive repairs?
I asked them to replace the drive belt, which they did with the belt tightener pully for $250.

Since I can’t see any oil leaks what’s your opinion on the issues raised above? Are these show stoppers? Can I get these done at a good mechanic other than a dealership for less money? What's teh average cost for such repairs in the NY area? Are there downsides?

Oh, one last thing, the dealership really got me thinking and LOL when they said that to replace the pop-up plastic button of my CD changer in the trunk would cost me $450! I told ‘em to fogedabouit!
Thanks folks!
