Post Seat occupant sensor emulator

I have a 2005 C class Merc saloon (w203). I get an SRS warning due to a faulty front passenger seat sensor. The cost of replacing the seat sensor is very high
Has anyone ony experience of seat occupant sensor emulators eg
do they work?
are they safe to use?
where can they be purchased? In UK?
Would appreciate help.

Not too many folks in the business of defeating safety systems, I'd imagine, so your search is likely to be futile.

If you don't get the fault when someone is riding in that seat, you could always put a dummy there and then you could also use the car pool lanes. Or wrap a concrete block in a towel and strap it in.
