Question sunroof fault

hi
i have a mercedes benz c class sports coupe evolution panorama (2003) and i have a problem with the panoramic sunroof. it seems that a part of the mechanism has broken and when opened it remains open and it cannot slide back to close. Does anyone have any idea how much will this kind of fault cost me

It can be due to a broken cable or motor that drives the roof and blinds, After maintenance make sure the tension is correct to avoid re occurrence of problem
this problem can be avoided by lubricating the guide rails

Sadly sunroof repairs, especially on panorama tops, can be very costly. In your manual there should be a description of how to close the roof manually using a tool that came with your car at least so it's closed in the meantime.

As stated above, sunroof repairs can cost alot, especially if you don't do it yourself.
There is usually a place in the trunk where you can manually close the roof.

Here's how I fixed mine. Would try to close it and it would stop and make this horrible clacking sound. Fixed the problem in 15 minutes!
