Hi I'm new to this site. I own a 1988 300sel which I am madly in love with. It has developed a hissing noise underneath and the ride has changed. The car still goes up at the back when turned on - fitted with sls but the back seat ride is rather like concrete. Have been under the car and cannot see where the hissing is coming from. I am not using a lot of hydraulic fluid and dont see any leak so dont think there is a leak in the line but what do I have to remove to be able to see the parts/accumulators? etc so they can be replaced. And yes I am a female and yes I do my own work on my car.
