Question CPO Warranty. Am I still covered?

I just bought a 2006 E350 Estate with now 54k miles form its 3rd owner in Florida.
My wife and I drove the car back to California, so it now has about 58k miles on it, and took it to the AAA office to get it registered. While the gal at the AAA was verifying the VIN I discovered a blue round sticker that says Certified Pre Owned Mercedes Benz on it. I did not get any papers about the CPO.
Since the car is aa 2006 with just 58k miles, would it still be covered by the CPO warranty? That would come in handy as we discovered that the A/C is not working...
Does the CPO warranty follow the car automatically? Or do I need to "register" with MB? Or am I out of luck?

As far as I know the CPO follows the car until it reaches the maximum years or mileage (7/100,000), at least from the original purchaser as a CPO to the next. I would contact MBUSA as soon as possible to let them know you are the current owner. One of the dealers might be able to do that for you too.

Well, I went to the dealer and here is the scoop. He ran the VIN and found that the car was first sold in August 2005, and a CPO warranty was added on at some point, but with a catch. Apparently there are 3 levels of CPO, and mine was the "Base" wich only added 1 year to the existing 4 year warranty, so my car was no longer under warranty of any kind as of August 2010.
Oh well, the PO never claimed that the car was under warranty, but I just got excited when I saw the round CPO sticker.

Thanks for the follow up. The 3 levels probably means years. For example, I bought my CPO as a 5 year old car with 53,000 miles. 1 year/100,000 miles comes with the car. I could only pay to extend to 2 years/100,000 miles because the car would then be 7 years/100,000 miles. So if you buy one right after the new car warranty expires (4 years/50,000) you get the level 1 automatically. Level 2 would be buying 1 extra year and level 3 is 2 extra. Does that make sense?

I guess I was wrong in assuming that CPO only came in one size. I was hoping for 7 year/100,000 miles.
It will probably take me a while to reach the 100k mark as my commute is only 3.6 miles each way and I also ride my motorcycle to work a lot...

However I found out that the air bags and the ABS (has a different name on the Benz) pump are covered until 2015. It must be in line with the federal requirenments to cover all emission control systems (including cats) up tp 80,000 miles.

That is correct. I had the Cat replaced on my 2006 wagon for free last year with 55,000 miles on it.

IIRC you have 8 years and 80,000 on the cats. Mine were all replaced at 7/72000. I wasn't award of the air bags and the ABS.

The airbags and ABS warranty seems to be 10 years regardless of mileage from what I saw on the screen at the dealership. Nice to know...
The service guy mentioned that the ABS pump is a $1,200 item, plus obviously the labor.
