Oil leak/seep

Hi All,
I crawled under the car today to check the engine mounts and saw that there seems to be oil seeping or leaking out of the the exhaust headers(i think). It is just this one connection that has the problem.. the other ones seem fine. Do you guys think this is a big enough problem to warrant repair? (I have third party warranty, but the parts approval process can be a PITA if the problem is small).

I'd be about 99% certain this oil has dripped to this location from somewhere else.

If oil could escape at this exact site, so could exhaust gas and you could likely feel it and hear it happening.

Plus one to Kent's comment.

You posted into the general forum with no identification of the car. Please click user cp and add your vehicle and location to your profile, it's useful. Also, please note that there are specific forums based on your chassis. If you scroll down the main forum page you'll see them all, find yours and look in there or post. You may find someone that can tell you exactly because they've seen it before.

But yes, that's pretty wet for a leak, so I'd definitely check into getting it fixed.

Good luck.
