Auxon fans coming too soon

I replaced the aux fans temp , the original was two pole blue the one I received is a two pole green , I now notice that my fans come on at around 90 degrees and stay running. Did I receive the incorrect sensor or is there some sort of upgrade?
Mine is a 1992 300E w124 chassis, 185k miles.

Any thoughts?

Thank you
