Replacement tires for 2008 CLS550

Am in need of replacing my OEM tires for my 2008 CLS550. Have checked and have noted their recommendations, but thought it wise to check in here since most of their "reviewers" for tires for this model car do not actually have this car - so it's a bit of an apples/oranges review.

I live in southern region (Arkansas) and we rarely ever have to worry about driving in snow, so I'm probably more in the market for summer performance tires than all-weather. I'm not a balls-to-the-wall driver (though I do appreciate excellent handling), so racing or hard driving is not so much an issue as is excellent ride, comfort, mileage, and expected wear life of tires.

Tirerack seems to highly recommend the Continental Extreme Contact DW and DWS tires.

Any comments/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Also...and I'm guessing I probably need to go to another link here for this one..I've got horribly squealing brakes. Any advice or curing that annoyance would also be met with open arms.

Thanks in advance...

+1 on the Continental DWS. Great all-weather tire, smooth riding and quiet. I've had them for a year, even drove on them once at the track in my 540i. They don't deliver extreme performance but are predictable at their limits. They also wear quite well.

I'm getting the Conti DWS installed on my 08 CLS this Friday. Pricematched tirerack at Discount Tire. Cost + shipping at tirerack = cost + tax at Discount Tire. Total cost is $900 with installation and junk fees.
