I am now leaning towards the ETA or pedal position sensor after reading through several more hours of threads and posts on here and other sites that i could find on anything like this. other wise it could be much deeper than I want it to be.....

Thumbs up problem solved hopefully

I have solved the problem in mine and I hope it helps you. My catalitic converters had collapsed completelly intenally and blocked the gas flow restricting it so bad i couldnt drive it anywhere. I had changed the 02 sensor and found that the exaust was not flowing out the rear as normal so I removed it and hollowed out the cats and refitted the exaust and perfecto, it drives like new. It solved over heating problem and fuel consumption has improved out of sight and now getting about 30 mile to the gallon. I hope this solves your problem too and that I could help.

Thanks for the reply, bonite, I've actually solved my problem as well! Turns out my fuel pump went bad. Fortunately I only replaced my spark plugs and Mass Air Flow sensor before spending too much.

I do however have another question. A mechanic I spoke with checked the diagnostics on the car and he found that the wiring harness for my MAF sensor is the wrong harness. The question I have is whether it's possible to have put the wrong harness on the car or could the correct harness have been improperly installed which would cause the car to give the 10 error code via the LED light (Voltage too high or low to MAF sensor).
