Help on how to remove the Plastic engine cover on w211 E500.

Do you have any pictures? I’ve removed the front half but I’m not sure about the larger back part.

In the enclosure all the parts are press fit, so you simply pull them apart. Remove the front cover first followed by the two intake pipes. Pull the intake pipes back away from the air filter cover toward the front of the car and then upward and toward the rear of the car.

Then hold the air filter at the front and lift upward and backward at the same time.

Some models have a clip over the rear of the air cleaner and this just unclips with the help of a small lever/screwdriver, if there is a clip it will be obvious to you.

That worked, great help. I was able to install K&N air filters.
